A Storm is Brewing

And it is a frightening storm indeed. For this storm will be comprised of an abundance of comic book abundance. Long story short, you may find yourself spammed/pelted by posts about recent comic issues. But do not be alarmed for it shall pass and you can return to your normal way of life. If you choose to evacuate please do so in an orderly fashion.

I still have to write the review for the recent issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (which was released two weeks ago might I add-fail). But as of next week, there will be a plethora of issues coming out that will require my ascribing attention. The new Defenders, Avengers: X-Sanction and Detective Comics will be arriving on Wednesday so for those of you who like this blog because the comic book aspect, feel free to do a little jig- a boogie if you will.

Detective Comics #5

But to those who follow this blog for the literary aspect, feel free to send a couple of sweat shop managers to my home so they could whip me into shape as I have slacked on my regular reading. Not to say I have not been reading this past holiday season, it is just I have been busy on vacation, hanging out with the designated romantic partner and catching up with friends. Trying to read, write, work, have a social life and blog would be a challenging array of tasks even for Batman. The two books I am currently reading are The Passage and Grave Goods. I will finish one of them this month for sure. Though I wish it was The Passage, I think it will be Grave Goods. It is simply less dense and easier to carry around (and no I will never buy a Kindle, eff off).

The Passage

Hope everyone had a good new year. May all your bookshelves be full and your pages be tear free. And as always, beware of the “firemen”.
