I Don’t Know How To Read: Coriolanus

SO EXCITED! Having a Shakespeare party very soon and I am inviting some tragic people over to partake in the deception and the betrayal. Actually that may have been an inaccurate portrayal of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus, being as I have never read it. But hey, all of Shakespeare’s tragedies are filled with betrayal and deception…and murder…and political turmoil.

I’ll be honest that I ordered this play so I can prepare for the film. But at least I am not one of those crass wagon riders who say “Oh yeah I love Coriolanus…I watched the movie”. If I were ever to hear that I would surely react with a facial expression that of “GO AWAY!”. Anyhow, excuse my literary snobbishness, it comes from a dark place of my soul that has not touched a work of drama in nearly six months. Sad panda.
